January 25, 2020 - Mostly or all Pinot Blanc. Oak used. Needed a couple minutes to open but then was ready to go. Probably peaking right now. Really a nice middle ground between Alsace and Burgundy (Alsacian grape notes and Burgundian winemaking). Surprising amount of sediment/material at the bottom of the bottle. Would jump on opportunity to try again (different vintages, or different products from same producer).
March 12, 2018 - Farewell to Choi (Peter's): Pinot Blanc from Burgundy!
Pale gold. Light peach and bruised peach aromas. Medium acid medium bitterness, 13.5% alcohol with some mid palate weight. Interesting style.
January 4, 2018 - Elegant and refined. Somehow textured and full but light on the palate, at the same time - like a golden blanket and a babbling brook made a baby.
November 17, 2017 - Had this wine with a green curry cod, appropriately spiced...Much better than my first recollection. Green apple, depth...worked well while quaffing before and during the meal..,
December 28, 2016 - I've drank 3 bottles and all have been similar. This wine is big, fat, a little bit flabby. I did not get the acidity others have mentioned, it would have improved the wine. Apple and banana were the prominent aromas.
I won't hang onto these.
October 18, 2016 - Not bad. Needs another year or so
October 8, 2016 - Not sure if this wine needed air or more time to develop in the glass...I didn't find much nose and it appeared to be a little flabby...
May 14, 2016 - Very nice Pinot Blanc. Lots of green apple on the palate with a good tartness, very nice acidity, good balance. Strong aromatics, very enjoyable, good QPR.
May 8, 2016 - Dinner at Tim and Elliott's (Tim and Elliott's Place, San Francisco): Nicely aromatic with bruised apple; palate is medium bodied, medium-plus acid, mostly neutral but very nicely balanced; medium finish. Very nice. 88-90
May 8, 2016 - This wine really showed its best on day one. Vibrant and rich notes of orchard fruits and spices on the nose. This medium bodied wine has excellent cut and acid...given the shift by the second day I'd expect this is best for immediate consumption. Drink it over the next few years.
