November 13, 2021 - This was brought over by a guest last night in Meatsmith. I didn't have high hopes for it because the storage of these 90s wines in Singapore is all over the place. But man, was this gem singing! Cork comes out with ease. Pours deep garnet in the glass with a chunk of sediment. The nose is developed to the fullest, showing notes of prune, cooked blackberry, strawberry, some sweet spices and slight hints of button mushrooms. What amazed me the most is that even after sitting in the glass for a couple of hours, this wine was still holding its shit together gracefully, a rare occurrence in old Shiraz. At its peak right now, but this is Mt. Everest peak. Drinking stunningly well, Heathcote just does it better.

April 11, 2020 - Very savory and aromatic; strong fruit, sweet flavors; excellent nose and finish; high alcohol but not hot.

November 9, 2019 - I think there's much bottle variation with the bottles of this vintage I've been consuming lately. But this one bottle was on in spectacular fashion... intense nose with purity of black and red fruits, hint of graphite and floral touches, palate of black cherry, raspberry, spicy mid palate and long long long balanced finish. Simply stunning and blew the socks off other spectacular wines that night... the sommelier at the restaurant thanked me for the wine that as he put it... "I kept inhaling it throughout (your dinner)."

July 30, 2018 - Aniseed, tar, leather, wood chips and stewed fruit on the nose. Very fine tannins, smooth mouthfeel on the palate. The finish is of savoury spices, slightly port-like notes, slightly astringent. There’s a bit of heat from the 15.5% ABV, but it’s not too bad. On the downhill run IMHO.
