April 4, 2024 - mature looking intense color. multi layered nose with leather, forrest and some fruit looming in the background. nicely balanced on the palete. some soft tanines remaining. medium bodied with nice length. some of the panel placed it in the bordeaux.
June 25, 2023 - Another superb bottle. Better than the 2002.
April 8, 2023 - Just as youthful and energetic as I remembered. Sensational. Perhaps better than the 2002.
July 10, 2022 - consistent with previous notes. great bottle. still needs a couple of hrs air to handle the initial acidity when you PnP.
April 29, 2022 - Medium garnet colour. Pronounced and developing nose with strawberry, morello, cocoa, dark chocolate, leather, mushroom, forest floor and dried rose. Pronounced taste of morello, strawberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, forest floor, leather and mushrooms. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. An outstanding and well matured Clos de Vougeot with great complexity. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with duck, game or veal.
December 18, 2021 - This pours light garnet with medium bricking. The nose is expressive and complex showing dried red cherry, pickled ginger, light roast coffee, dried orange, twiggy forest undergrowth, fresh mushroom, decaying rose petal, dried cranberry, and a touch of animal fur. Just a fabulous traditional burgundy expression. The palate is low in tannin with lovely red fruit and medium plus cranberry tinged acid along a finish that replays much of the nose. All in all this is a beautiful classic burgundy drinking fabulously right now. It clearly saw some new oak but it is high quality and now we’ll integrated. Very happy with this!
October 22, 2021 - Ouch this was good. Way better than a much leaner bottle a few month back. This was like cranked up by 10 times in terms of stuffing and fruit intensity. So inviting roasted meat notes, beef blood and rich fat game notes. Totally haunting and given this came out after Roumier Amoureuses 08, DRC Riche 98, CLB Reignots 14 to Name just a few great wines this evening and it held its own and then some (maybe not as fine but as hedonistic pleasure goes totally up there) wow and then some. There are only good bottles... this was one of those. Total outperformance.

June 2, 2021 - A wonderful inviting nose of slight stems, cool pine needles, red fruit. Mid weight on the palate with good acidic cut and cherry fruit. In a good place and feels like time to drink before the fruit fades. Not as good as 02.
