July 31, 2023 - No notes just sanguin and raw. Beautiful Cali Syrah.
March 20, 2022 - We only gave this an hour decant and the score would be even higher had we given it all the time it needed to open up. Still a very powerful wine at 10 years in.
January 27, 2022 - Big, bold, tons of blackberry and blueberry and some meatiness; a good dose of fine expensive oak in there, really nice with the A5 wagyu with onion and a sweet soy sauce sauce; silky, big, bold, and eventually pretty oaky. Turned more oaky as the night went on. I imagine if they halved the oak on these monsters they would have something pretty special. Asanebo w/Yarom and gang.
December 31, 2019 - Gloriously full and yet silky smooth. The depth of this wine is remarkable. Very dark in color. Tannins are resolved. Amazing. Definitely ready to drink.
February 1, 2019 - Full, Intense
September 12, 2018 - Inky black dark dark. Fresh pure lively aromas of charred meat and olive. Magical palate of tremendous depth. Sleek black and blue fruit earth and amazingly a sense of place. Crispy bacon. With such density it continues to be lithe and poised coming across as a light wine. Multi minute echo of a finish. Spellbinding.
April 26, 2018 - BUY
Red fruit and spice, velvety texture and - based on a recent tasting spanning four decades - built for aging wonderfully.

March 23, 2018 - Lisa Perrotti Brown Hospice du RhĂ´ne Seminar (Blackberry Farm): dark violet, notes of red roses, destemmed, prominent new oak, 15.3% ABV
July 10, 2016 - Opaque. Dark fruits and sweet spices on the nose. Add tar and smoke on the palate. Full-bodied and opulent. Stunning really. It will get better still. You can't go wrong with this one.
