October 2, 2021 - Lovely tertiary flavors with oyster shells, mushroom, honeysuckle and a saline core. Took a hour in the decanter to blossom

March 30, 2017 - Fully mature and thinning although this still offered light minerality, saline notes, and a hint of background nuttiness. 90-

February 28, 2016 - 24-Hour Tampa Blitzkrieg; 2/27/2016-2/28/2016: White flowers, acacia flowers, and creamy / whipped honey. Briney salinity is all but gone. Big minerals on the palate, slatey and stoney. Lengthy singing finish. Good acid. Terrific.

December 16, 2013 - Tasted blind, this wine had a medium yellow center with clear rims. The medium intensity nose of apples, white stone, honey, and some grass was attractive. It came across a bit like a white Bordeaux.

In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied with brisk acidity. The wine was ripe but it took extended air for this wine to really show its true nature. Overall, it was a bit leaner (different shape) than the ripe years like '86 and '89 but still quite attractive.

This is drinking well and will easily last 5+ years.

December 24, 2006 - Slow oxygenation for several hours. Still quite oaky at first, not pure and mineral as I would have expected. It felt very young, good level of acidity, supporting the wine but not getting in the way. Obviously very good. The following day it was even better, both the nose and palate were significantly more complex and open. It had shed its bark and showing great, with a freshness that belied its years. Not showing any sign of fatigue.
