August 18, 2016 - From half. Similar to previous note. All integrating beautifully. Loads of fruit so no rush to drink.

July 20, 2016 - Peppery, pink peppercorns, violets, very rich mouth-feel. Soft tannins, long finish.

May 27, 2016 - This immediately reminded me of a high-end creme de cassis. The dark fruit is extraordinarily dense and pure. It expands into raspberry liqueur and the slightest hints of leather and tobacco (aging notes). But that's about it for now.

It would be fun to taste this wine 10, 20, 30, and 40 years from now. It's delicious now, but it's overwhelmingly fruit forward.

May 21, 2016 - Heavenly. Decanted several hours. Grapey, sweet, rich, dark, balanced. A gorgeous port, drinking now, will probably improve, but it's just so good now!

March 28, 2016 - From a half. This was, again, a stellar showing for this port. We needed a little port for a reduction, so I went with this bottle, knowing that it is drinking well now. Popped the cork, took a little for the reduction and let the rest of the bottle sit for a couple of hours. Amazing, lush fruit. Mouth coating. Long, long finish. It drank this while eating a ribeye (don't judge me), and it paired really well.
