June 7, 2016 - Last tasted about 2 and a half years ago. Still much the same as when last tasted: "Aromas of raspberry, blackberry, sweet cassis, some blueberry, roasted game meat, herbs, and vanillin. Similar flavors, with the addition of pepper and dark chocolate. Big, powerful, rich, with intense fruit. Viscous in the mouth." Tannins are now integrated into the wine and the wine is drinking at its apogee. Again, a long and spicy finish. I feel the wine has a year or two left for enjoyment.

April 11, 2016 - Disappointing bottle after a couple of nice ones

March 26, 2016 - 4th Saturday group "uptown" tasting (Mark & Rochelle's): Double decanted off its sediment and served with dinner about four hours later. Black fruit and pepper aromas with meaty undertones. Full-bodied with fine-grained tannins that are integrating nicely. The flavor profile mirrors the bouquet's dark fruit and meaty elements. As it sits in the glass it becomes more perfumed and softens a bit on the palate. Develops a bacon note too. We have one left which I will plan on enjoying within the next year or two, though this will likely hold on a bit longer than that.

March 10, 2016 - Deep, smoky, musky with dark black fruit. On the second day mellowed considerably with strong fruit and less structure.
