August 24, 2023 - Spectacular cab in early to mid stages of maturity. Tannins are soft and palatable but there is a strong dark fruit backbone that is still intact. Long exquisite finish. Decanted for about 30 minutes and consumed over 2-3 hours. Tremendous. Drink now with short decant or hold. Suspect this probably has another 5-10 years of longevity.
August 11, 2023 - A great time to drink this as all thought this flavor profile was at peak. Loads of cassis and black currant. One's affinity for this wine might have much to do with how much one does or doesn't prefer those flavors. I loved the first glass of those bold flavors and then tired of them, which for me makes this a wine that starts strong and fades.
June 11, 2023 - Beautiful burgundy in colour and garnet edges, a glass stainer. The wine has integrated seemlessly, with the tanins feeling as though there are many more years of wonderful maturation still to go. Red fruit with lots of berry fruit on the nose. Also a smoky fruit cake with Asian spices. Red cherry fruit on the pallet, reminds of cherries in grappa that Nono used to make. Long finsih that doesn’t want to end showing some anise. Excellent wine and happy I have 2 more bottles. Will wait 2 years before the next one…but it won’t be easy.
June 8, 2023 - As many have noted, medium-bodied wine. Tannins muted, a dry wine with hint of dark fruit. The wine is on the verge of being cellared too long. Suggest you enjoy it now or very soon.
December 5, 2022 - D1h. Dark red, 6. Pure cassis aroma, some herbaceous stuff behind. Harmonious palate, m+T, m+A, mB,
November 27, 2022 - Elegant. Drinking well now - likely at its peak. Classic cassis and graphite. Touch of excess oak on the finish - felt a little clumsy. Overall exactly what you’d expect from 12 year old Dom.
