December 25, 2020 - Wouldn't wait too much longer. Medium plus body, a bit reticent on nose and palate. Finish with a very slight bitterness.

June 28, 2020 - Lovely bright golden color. Tropical fruit, maybe pineapple, and spice on nose. Complex with apple, bright fruit, nice acidity especially for a California Chardonnay. Long finish. Enjoyed with grilled salmon and corn. Glad I opened it when I did.

May 1, 2020 - Fully mature. Reticent nose of bruised apple, tart pear. Full body gives up a tart bitter slightly baked apple flavor.

February 22, 2020 - Didn’t decant but drank from first opening over the course of 2 hours. Really opened up and was enjoyable. Still has plenty of time left.

October 13, 2019 - Excellent minerality, stilll drinking very well. Less oak and more old worldly compared to most Napa chardonnays. Paired with cedar plank salmon and mixed green salad with goat cheese.

February 8, 2019 - My experience has been that few CA chardonnay's age better than Far Niente. I have had 20yr old wines that were incredible.

December 7, 2018 - Few CA Chards age better than Far Niente. I have had them that were 25 yrs old and they were still lively with lots of fruit and complexity. I am looking forward to this wine over the next 10 yrs.
