July 9, 2021 - Fabulous as usual
May 12, 2021 - 9/12, screw cap. No formal note - still attractive and very drinkable with ripe pear fruit, some creamy oak, nice fresh acidity and decent length. Not overly complex but good mid-week drinking.
March 10, 2021 - At a good place. Mature but still vigorous. Lots of depth for the Estate cuvee lovely fresh buttery grassy nose. Lot of power and depth but balanced as well. Lovely
December 7, 2020 - Still spot on and perfectly balanced. Coups hold for another 2-3 years . Pineapple, Honey, Lemon and hazelnuts. A smokey nose. And still enough acidity to keep you longing for a new sip over and over again. Almost perfect
October 29, 2020 - Flawed
April 25, 2020 - Straw color with hints of green. Fatty/Waxy (bees wax), tropical fruits, sesame and canned pears on the nose.
Taste leads with canned pears, well integrated oak and a refreshing acidity with a faint pinapple-note bitterness. Amazing QPR and a well structured wine!
January 13, 2020 - No formal notes. Consistant with last bottle. A little more "obvious" than a good quality white burg, with a little more heavy oak, but still very vibrant. Very nice wine overall, would buy again.
December 26, 2019 - Drank at dinner with family so no notes other than memory. Nice if a bit simple with quite the burgundian feel, reduction, oak and acidity over pear, lemon and apple. In a nice spot, fresh but perhaps a bit rounded down with bottle age. Could have kept for a few more years for sure.
November 20, 2019 - 7/12 - screwcap.
No formal note - but this remains an attractive, if not overly complex Chardonnay with apple and a touch of pear, some nice creamy breadth and fresh acidity carrying a medium-good length finish. Very good for the price.
January 2, 2019 - 6/12, screwcap.
Medium straw. Quite ripe fruit - pear, touch of pineapple. Sesame and vanilla too, attractive if not overly complex. Medium/full bodied, tropical fruit to the fore on the palate, some creamy pear, fresh acidity, medium/good length finish with a touch of sesame seed. Perhaps a bit blowsy on the finish. Drinking well and don't see much upside to continued cellaring.
