December 12, 2013 - Had at Aria; deep dark red, still youthful looking; the nose was blowing right out of the bottle, deep, exotic, funky, earthy, still a great mix of darker red fruit, plush, peppery, almost Northern Rhone like, 92+ point nose for sure; the palate was a different story completely, at first rich and plush but then the wine just dropped off, hollow mid and little on the finish probably due to the vintage.

March 27, 2012 - deep ruby for pinot. At first a bit tight. There is Gevrey earth here, rounded out with some wood spice and suppleness. Iron, darker pinot fruit, some spice and earth on the palate. Round, but not supple, and still with quite a bit of structure, albeit not terribly refined. I don't mean that in a prejorative sense, but there is some grit, that I like. this is showing quite well and is youthful, or at least certainly not at risk of eminent decline. A little green herbal stuff on the back end, with some heme- earth, and decent length. I like this, an enjoyable wine. 89 pts

February 23, 2011 - still a baby. This has the stuffing of a Grand Cru. All primary fruit is gone, which is unusual for 2000 vintage, but the depth of the color and flavors is awesome for what is essentially a village wine.

February 18, 2011 - Took a loooong time to open up. This is a robust, earthy Gevrey with a bit of muscular elegance as well. I don't see this as having peaked yet.

November 25, 2010 - Cheesy on the nose for the first hour, blew off to reveal notes of cherry, blueberry, slate, Burgundy nose with lifted oak overtones.
Palate was spot on for this wine, pretty cherry, one dimensional, straightforward, also in tune for this wine.
Pretty, straightforward overall good but nothing ground shaking. The crappy part is this wine cost me around $60 each and I know of many that have paid more than I did. You can get any new world Pinot for half this price if not less than that and it would rival this.
Again, solid wine but also not worth the mark-up to drink Burgundy.
