September 30, 2016 - Not necessarily a standout but very enjoyable, played to type well, and showed a surprising amount of vigor on the palate. Nice finish

June 11, 2014 - Ho hum, just a regular day tasting 1935 D'YQUEM! The wine was not a blockbuster and Chris says the vintage was not particularly noteworthy (nor in Burgundy), but it was regal and lovely. (Oriental Garden)

We're drinking less Sauternes these days, but when we do, good provenance old bottles are a great way to do it.

October 29, 2011 - Chateau d'Yquem Masterclass (Amber, Hong Kong): Amazing - bright gold still! Looks quite young. Fresh citrus fruits with medium-low sweetness and balanced acidity. Some precipitate in the glass. The flavours, although lots of fruits, are actually relatively simple. Extraordinary.
