February 28, 2024 - Antoine Jobard/Hudelot-Noëllat Dinner at La Paulée de Los Angeles (Kato, Los Angeles): Deepest tint of the three wines in the flight. Lovely combination of herb and red fruit. Excellent cranberry acidity, chock full of soil, round, earthy tannins. The most open of the trio. Succulent, tart, plenty in reserve for short to intermediate term drinking. A highly successful 2013.

November 22, 2023 - Hudelot’s elegance come through her, quite feminine characters. Still some oak in the nose. A little constrained by the vintage.

June 11, 2021 - Friday Night... Great Burgundy Night (Asian Spice House - Buchanan MI): Floral and nicely spiced with lots of red cherry and berry start-to-finish. Firm in the middle with a tannic finish that (I hope) will soften as the wine emerges from its current awkward phase. I enjoyed this much more than others did, but not nearly as much as I enjoyed this when closer to its release. 91-92 points for me now, but I remain confident in 93+ point potential. Others were less please or confident.

October 7, 2020 - The 13 Hudelot-Noellat RSV is drinking really well now with a Vosne spicy, slightly herbal/stemmy, pure red cherry nose. The depth and class of the fruit is impressive and this comes across as quite feminine and elegant. Room for improvement but quite pleased with this now! 94+

August 21, 2020 - Very closed upon opening, decanted for 2 hours. Slowly opened up but stayed aromatically much more timid than the 2011 I recently had. The material is first class though. Real density on the body combined with the 2013 freshness. Don't open this before 2025. 95+

May 18, 2020 - Red currant, candied fruit and spice. Palate was fairly lean with a hollow mid palate which resembled the vintage character. Correctly identified it as a 2013 in blind but greatly disappointed that it was a RSV.

July 2, 2019 - David Wainwright's Big Birthday Celebration with Friends & Wine (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Superbly bright red fruit aromas and flavors with a fruit-driven start and spice-driven finish. Youthful exuberance right now with an expanding and powerful finish. Great balance here, with great potential as well.

June 29, 2019 - Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Small glass, brief note. Another great performance for this wine. So much spice harmonious with bright red cherry and berry. Terroir comes through perfectly with so much energy on long finish. Drinking well already.

April 11, 2019 - Hudelot-Noellat Cellar Visit and Tasting (Vougeot): Wow, is this impressive. Equal amounts of red and back cherry with savory spice. Near magical textures with an amazing sense of harmony. In its peak drinking window already. Great when popped and poured, then equally great when finished 14 hours later.

March 21, 2018 - My score is all over the place, but why not 94, even if the last zips were more like 96 and the initial glass probably was 93.
Decanted after an hour or so, but I should have done that earlier, as this wine improved with more air.
Good, but not so sure I would seek this out again. A bit too mainstream, and surely not so much better than the H&N Clos Vougot, which is considerably cheaper.
