    April 24, 2021 - Quite green. Shame.

February 1, 2014 - Nice nose, but it's a little lean, a little green, and a little metallic on the palate. Seems like a classic 2004 unfortunately...

September 5, 2012 - Fairly expressive at the moment. As expected from the vintage, you can detect the greenness but fortunately not too distracting. Rather light in terms of intensity. Lovely pinot fruit and a classy, elegant drink. Not particularly wow but balanced enough with a touch of herbicity to make it interesting. Drink now.

May 18, 2012 - A Long Weekend of Burgs and a Few Others; 5/17/2012-5/20/2012 (Scottsdale, AZ): On a night of mostly burgs, this one was the odd one out. Opened an hour or so in advance, had a nice dark-fruited nose and palate. It was open and fairly expressive if not too complex. After a while, I noticed a fairly strong menthol or eucalyptus aroma that was distracting. Another at the table found something distracting in the wine as well but couldn't put his finger on it. Good, but I'm a little uncomfortable with how it evolved over a few hours. My discrete CT scale: 95-extraordinary; 90-very good; 85-good; 80-fair; 75-poor

May 28, 2008 - Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin Singapore, Potel Tasting. (Harbour Grill, Hilton Hotel, Singapore): Beautifully made wine, with a clean, high toned and wonderful perfumed nose of cherry drops enveloped in a layer of earth, mint and eucalyptus. The palate was darker, with great power and length undergirding focused cherry and cola flavours. Great, dry finish with a flourish of spice. Elegant and powerful at the same time. Lovely.

(Potel Nicolas Clos St.Denis) Higher-toned nose, the Clos de la Roche was lovely, but this is stunning. Lovely palate, wide with high-toned fruit in the mouth. Beautiful tension between the fruit and structure - unlike the Clos de la Roche they are fully in harmony - a gorgeous finish too. Serene and excellent - I loved this.
