May 26, 2018 - Next to last bottle from case. PNP has been best for these, they are go to go from the beginning. Cherry, plum and a bit of barnyard. These have been excellent wines from a less than stellar year. Not seeing any decline so no rush to finish them. That said, they are good to go now for occasions when you didn't have time or remember to prepare something ahead of time.

February 13, 2018 - Agree with TimBob’s note. Great value from NH state liquor store for a quality wine from a solid producer that over-delivers.
Had with RibEye steak on a cold February night. Tasted like a $50 Pomerol.

September 23, 2017 - PNP. This is more like the first bottle. This was good out of the bottle, did not improve much in the glass. Drink now without much, if any air and this is an excellent (for the price) Merlot. On sale New Hampshire (Sept. 2017) at $16.99, $14.44 with 15% case discount. Great value. Drink up.

September 23, 2017 - Decanted 1-1/2 hours, drank over 2. This was tired and over the hill, not at all like the first bottle. Thinking that decanting was not a good idea.

August 30, 2017 - Decanted. Black to deep purple edge. Nose began to open in about 15 minutes, continued to improve over 1-1/2 hrs. Plum, cherry, spice, forest floor. Became more perfujmed as time went on. Very smooth, rich, cherry, plum and oak. Some tannins at back yet. Will go at least a few more years. Nice Merlot. Much, much more than I expected from 2011 and on sale in New Hampshire at very good price. Will buy more - this vintage and this producer.

January 7, 2017 - This is a second independent tasting which turned out considerably better than my report of July 13, 2016. 14.6% alcohol; an outstanding wine! good nose, good finish, delicious & pleasant to drink

July 13, 2016 - ruby red, medium legs, fruit-forward nose but pretty weak; plums, apples, prunes, cheese (like camembert); cries out for pairing with soft cheese

March 4, 2016 - Tasted just after opening. Initial thought was that it's a rough wine. Others tasted later and liked it a lot. I'm going to revisit it 24 hours later. Am I missing something?
