September 24, 2010 - Decanted one hour, enjoyed with a meal of: an heirloom tomato, avocado, red onion and feta salad, grilled yams and a Flannery Porterhouse.
Garnet color, uniform to the rim, no sign of bricking. Cigar box, leather, black cherry, anise on the nose. Black cherries, dark red plums, great lift and balance. Flavors of leather and cedar were so well integrated into the dark fruits without any hint of mustiness or staleness. Very vibrant wine with lots of life left.
September 16, 2010 - Beautiful medium bodied cab on the back half of its life. Tannins are still very assertive as the fruit has dropped off quite a bit. Just a touch hot on the after taste. Drink em if you got em. Its good, but no longer great. The fruit that is there runs very much towards the currant side, with just a hint of the original sweetness. Strong note of glycerin. A hint of woodiness and mint too.

March 16, 2008 - Tasted double blind. Aromas of dark fruit and mint. Well balanced, the tannins have integrated fully leaving red currant and black cherry flavors. Lengthy finish.
January 6, 2008 - I had high hopes for this bottle, given the winemaker at the time was Heidi Barrett and the '95 I had several months ago was firing on all cylinders. This was a very interesting cab experience for me. The wine exhibited a very strong menthol/mint on the nose. The palate offered more of the same (my wife kept saying "licorice") but the strong mint floavor overwhelmed the fruit, or any other flavor for that matter, and made this almost undrinkalbe for my palate. The tannic structure was very much present and I couldn't help but feel like there was a good wine lurking underneath the doublemint twins, but whether that wine ever emerges I can't say. By the last few sips, I thought the mint was starting to blow off but that may have just been wishful thinking.
If you have any of these, I'd recommened holding or a 1-2 hour decant.
