Not my Sangiovese style anymore, too old ? chocolate and cooked fruits on the nose, tar, mint and eucalypt are coming, maybe needs a little more time, but it is already day 2... day one was really closed and not showing much, left it with the cork and a half glass less in the bottle.

Palate is a bit warm, alcohol and with still a big tannic structure, fruit is gone, strange phase here again... leave it alone a little more ? Harsh finish

Really a stunner young up to 91+ but now it is in a strange phase for 2/3 years... not sure it ll improve

October 11, 2019 - Nice Rosso, fully mature. Lots of barnyard on the nose, but there is plenty of red cherry fruit accented by saddle leather, Tuscan earth, underbrush, and thyme/oregano notes on the palette. Drink now through 2020.

February 17, 2017 - Mrk rubinrd farge.

September 12, 2016 - Light-medium body. Rustic. Leather, tobacco dominate. The fruit is understated. Not a typical Rosso but by no means a bad wine.

September 8, 2016 - The wine looks onder than it tastes. Still very youthfull and only entering its drinking window. Nose of cherries, plums and cocoa. Vibrant acidity and juicy fruit which is more ripe than a chianti classico but needs more time to unfold. Bought a case of it last year, together with a case of Collosorbo 13 RdM. The Collosorbo was always more approachable and is beautiful too, but this one will stand longer. Which is nice, because the Collosorbo will be empty by the time this starts to shine...

November 19, 2015 - Tasted at Rendezvous by Kerry Wines, Hong Kong. 197 wines. We managed to sip 32 in two hours. Hard work…but happy to roll up our sleeves, exercise our swirling wrists, put on our wine spectacles, clear our noses and cleanse our palates….we do what we can to make the world a better place!!!

A berry, berry Sangiovese, we found the sweet spiciness and massive cherries on the nose and palate to be overwhelming. Simply stated, we were ploughed over by the lack of balance. Given the price and all the supposed health benefits associated with red wine, we would consider as a lower level cocktail party wine deserving our attention for perhaps a glass. We had big hopes...sadly, they were dashed. Perhaps too young for us to sip now?

October 14, 2015 - Good, but I thought it would be better. I actually preferred Ferrero's 2013 Rosso di Montalcino. I thought this wine was a little thin and didn't have enough fruit. Important to note, that I drank it on a very warm night. I will have to give it another try b/c I know this producer makes a great rosso.
