November 6, 2021 - This was excellent out of magnum. Nicely integrated with polished fruit and plenty of freshness.

June 26, 2020 - A very sophisticated Fleurie that has developed, with age, the sinews of some interesting and exciting notes; a crisp attack that blends nicely the black pepper, spicy red cherry, deep wet soil, and raspberry, unfolding in a well-integrated , tangy whole. It shows its old vines and will age nicely for another 5-10 years.

August 31, 2018 - Elegant and spicy, fruits on the attack and some earth and depth on the finish.

This is comparable in quality to a great Foillard Morgon, though of course with a different terroir. I'd be interested to drink more from this producer, but I wouldn't pay a premium over Foillard for this.

October 19, 2017 - Medium strawberry ruby color, such a beautiful wine, nice juicy strawberry notes, orange zest, wonderful acidity, very fresh and just fun to drink. Wish I had more than just a few of these.

September 1, 2017 - Appearance is clear, medium- intensity, light ruby in color. Nose is clean with medium intensities. Aromas of tart cherries and red currants. Secondary characteristics of toast and smoke. This wine is dry with medium+ acidity and medium tannin, medium body. Flavors of red cherries, cola and white pepper with a medium finish.

May 13, 2017 - 13% abv. Perfumed nose with bright red cherries. Lighter bodied, with a short, tart acidic finish. Clean flavors and refreshing... though not sure it's worth the premium. Wouldn't age this.

April 11, 2017 - Really quite good and unusual Fleurie. Surprisingly dense but wears it nimbly (only 12% abv). A bit of sous bois mixed with ripe cherries and earthiness. Touch of spritz and brett in first 10 min, but then develops more complexity. Not quite as fresh and acidic as the basic fleurie.

November 23, 2016 - A very redolent Fleurie, showcasing the wondeful 2104 vintage. Black pepper in the lead, with a slightly angular acid profile that calmed after 15 minutes, giving way to a tart cherry, smoked moist earth, very smooth and structured experience. Not complex but very well made.
