Community Tasting Notes 50

March 23, 2023 - Tasted 2 bottles over a 4-hour period. Red and black fruits equaled in intensity by the herbal and loamy soil notes on the nose. The red fruits dominate with pine, rosemary, iron in the mouth. Finish is very short and this wine really feels like it's best days have passed by.

December 6, 2018 - Drinking well, lots of cherry and licorice

February 14, 2018 - Still more purple than brick color, the entry has no edges. Wonderful notes of cassis, ripe plum, licorice and slight menthol. The finish lasts 45 seconds. Very enjoyable

March 20, 2017 - Ruby fading to pink at the edges with no signs of bricking. Generous nose of cassis, dark fruit and cedar, then medium bodied in the mouth with good richness and depth. Should be good for a couple more years.

May 29, 2016 - From magnum. Big extracted cabernet with a touch more heat than I like. Light tannin, probably past peak although just a little flabby.
