October 15, 2023 - Very attractive mid-gold; an elegant bouquet, on the pineapple spectrum; palate similarly restrained, medium sweet, balanced; stylish finish. Drink sooner rather than later.

July 15, 2023 - Golden/Butterscotch in color. We pared with freshly smoked peach cobbler. OMG, what a great pairing. Subtle dry-sweet with strong flavors of pineapple, hints of mango and spicy vanilla. Main more years left.

March 19, 2023 - Color/App: light gold core with medium + viscosity. Intense bouquet of pineapple, orange, spiced peach & kiwi and lime right on PnP; struck me as very primary, still. Spiced peaches, white flowers, honey and vanilla palate. Pretty rich and viscous but with acceptable acidity (though it could be a little higher if I was to pick nits). Still comes across as young as I really don't detect any caramel/butterscotch/creme brulee notes yet. With a plump, moderately long finish, this still has a long life ahead. 91-92 with upside potential.

August 5, 2022 - I haven't opened a bottle of this wine in over 10 years. I'm happy to report that not only has it improved, but it's also in fantastic shape. From 375ml, this wine is still youthful both in appearance and flavor. There's been a touch of development, but the wine still has very nice tropical fruit and citrus, without much overt sweetness. This made it a great wine to go with blue cheese as dessert.

July 8, 2022 - Pop and pour, served to some non-wine friends. I honestly was afraid that this may be over the hill or at least slightly oxidized, but in fact it had a very fresh character. This was a stand-up sauternes with a fresh fruity spicy nose that lasted for 1 week in the refrigerator. The palate is slightly sweet, not overly so, with pineapple, peach and spice.

March 19, 2022 - For a 2005 it showed not heaviness at all. Still a baby

December 24, 2021 - Bouchon en excellent état. Robe dorée. Bon sans atteindre un sommet de complexité. Impressionnant par son côté encore très jeune. Se conservera encore longtemps à mon avis.

November 29, 2021 - Terroir-istes International - Christmas Party (post Rioja Tasting) (Savage Wines, Cape Town): Mid amber, the nose is deep with ripe peach, orange marmalade and botrytis notes. Quite a powerful nose and entry, the wine has impressive intensity but lacks actual flavour concentration preferring more power and immense sweetness/unctuous. Whilst there is an electric acidity, the alcohol feels too high for Sauternes, and the wine doesn’t seem to sit nicely. Certainly lots there; it doesn’t finish that long and feels unsophisticated.

November 12, 2021 - Not going to rate this because I dont have a ton of experience with sauternes, but this seems too heavy and slightly oxidized
