July 23, 2017 - Tasted blind, this wine had a medium yellow color, light rims, and persistent bubbles. The medium intensity nose needed a some air to show its best. The flavors centered around almond paste, white stone, and lemons.

In the mouth, this wine was crisp and clean with nice balance between fruit and minerals. I enjoyed the mineral oriented finish.

This bottle seemed to me to be in the zone. However, it will easily last 5+ years ( or longer if you like them with darker flavors).

July 14, 2017 - Krug Tasting in Hamburg

1995 Magnum: So jung, so frisch. 93(96)

July 6, 2017 - From 1.5L released in 2015. More orange-tinted, fruit-forward, wine than the '96 next to this. Still vibrant in this format. A little less overall balance and structure than I remember, but very nice overall.

July 6, 2017 - Krug and Dom Perignon Dinner, with Bonus Wines (The Loyalist - Chicago IL): From magnum. Served alongside the 1996 vintage, which oddly seemed to detract from how much I enjoyed BOTH wines. Very firmly structured and very long, with much less robust fruit vs 1996, but lots of great minerally textures.

June 16, 2017 - BYO Dinner (AOC): Stunning at the moment. Lots of baked red apples, butter and hazelnuts mixed with yeast and freshly baked bread.
Everything is in a lovely balance. Tasting really nice at the moment!!

(Krug) A very powerful nose, oaky and stony, oiled wood, this already seems like a powerhouse of a wine. Very firm on the palate, with lots of depth, very broad style, showing good depth and promise. Very stylish but very primary and immature, very indrawn and firm. It needs considerable cellar time, but rest assured this will be very impressive when mature.
