October 7, 2023 - This wine is delicious. Almost nectar-like. Notes of honey, grapefruit, guava, and pineapple. Dry but not excessively so.
April 28, 2022 - Expressive nose displaying ripe yellow fruit, kiwi, lemon curd, candied lemon peel, grapefruit, cat pee, saline and limestone. Very good concentration, packed sweet yellow fruit, rich yet showing good balance, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral and a long sweet yellow fruit driven finish with dry herbs at the end. This example shows strong cat pee and green.
June 10, 2021 - Very nice, nearly two years since prior bottle. Profile remains much as before. I really enjoyed the chalk/mineral core in combination with the deep aged citrus/lemon, yellow stone fruit, notable for its slightly ahh dark quality, herbal tones. Good length and richness with some weight on the palate, fine balanced acidity, has aged very nicely and developed interesting complexity.
June 9, 2020 - Expressive nose displaying ripe white fruit with a hint of yellow, yellow kiwi, star fruit, grapefruit, cat pee, saline and limestone. Excellent concentration, ripe yellow fruit, rich yet good precision and freshness, bright acidity and mineral, and a long rich yellow fruit driven finish. Although a bit rich, nice summer wine that will go well with shell fish.
December 15, 2019 - Similar to my previous note. Textbook SB, harmonious and lively, good depth and length. Drink or keep. 90-92
July 15, 2019 - It has developed beautifully in the past two years. Expressive nose displaying gooseberry, kiwi, lemon curd, candied lemon peel, sugar candy, cat pee, spicy spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, packed concentrated sweet yellow fruit, rich yet showing good precision, bright acidity, good mineral presence and a medium to long sweet yellow fruit driven finish. The sugar candy reminds me the mature dry Huet a bit. Despite being rich, a nice wine to sip on a hot summer night.
June 22, 2019 - Drank over several nights, held up well with softening on palate and less edge by third night. Deeper yellow in glass, showing some age that was evident in palate as well. Rich mineral, aged lemon, lemon, citrus, bit of grass & apple, herb. Hints of age are quite compelling, and though a tad less bright than some, this brings a richness that is great. Very well balanced, especially with a bit of air time. Good length first and second nights. All in all very good qpr for a well made wine. Another bottle in cellar, which I think I'll open sooner rather than later.
