August 27, 2020 - Great bottle. Dark fruit, ripe, earthy and rich, with a velvety texture. Fully mature. Probably time to drink up.

December 15, 2019 - Interesting nose. Very Bordeaux like merlot or cab franc notes. Tobacco and graphite. On taste very concentrated but nuanced cherry flavors with a long succulent finish. Very nice. First time trying corvino and this instance it is quite complex and engaging. Very nice. Excellent balance on the palate with the acidity bringing out the fruit flavors.

October 25, 2019 - Decanted at 2:30pm and tasted from 4:30pm through the evening. Color is light to medium garnet with a significant gradation to brick at the edge. The nose is slightly lifted with a hint of VA the you get lots of red florals, menthol, raisin, prune, chocolate and crushed brick. Tannins are fully integrated and the acidity is still quite bright. Very dense on the mid-palate and finish. Flavors range from chocolate to plum and prune, Luxardo cherry, blackberry jam and then a tart yet rich and very long finish. Mature and probably at peak. This was stunning with truffle goat cheese and prosciutto! Later in the evening it had a very significant game meat flavor and aroma. Better than my last bottle 7 years ago... Will have to drink the remaining 2 bottles in my cellar over the next 6 months or so.

August 25, 2019 - Stewed, oxidized, down the drain it goes. Sad because this has been taking space in my cellar for 15 or so years.

May 25, 2018 - Well cared for, dark and rich with plum, blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, and baking spice. Plenty of lift, could go another few years. From the list, Bottega, Birmingham Al.

November 24, 2017 - Fruit is gone and therefore the wine lacked balance. Drinkable but less than hoped for.

October 23, 2016 - In a perfect place to drink now. Initially hits you with sous-bois, tar, and dark chocolate, but more dark fruit opens up in short order. Complex and spicy, with more restraint and drinkability than the typical amarone - perhaps with a nod in the direction of classic Bordeaux reds - yet imbued with an unmistakable sense of place and style unique to valpolicella. Tannins have resolved; underlying acidity carries the wine through lips-macking finish.

January 4, 2016 - very good again with an autumn/ early winter meal. I think this is lovely now and should hold, but I think it should be drunk in the next 10 years
