January 16, 2024 - No detailed tasting note, but this was a lovely wine that I pulled out for an American friend visiting from France, bracing acidity mellowed by good fruit weight, with chalky minerality and a long finish.

January 16, 2024 - About 3-1/2yrs since my previous btl. Light green tinged gold color. Said to have been vinified in 50% barrel / 50% stainless steel for 6 mos prior to aging in only stainless. Citrus & seashore nose. A steely palate has rounded slightly & offering mineral infused citrus, stone fruit & iodine notes. Remains focused, precise & energetic but w/ some added finesse. 12.5% Alc. A slowly evolving classic that's fun now or age away! MTD is one of my favs from Fevre! The new long diam corks provide a hell of lot more confidence these might go 15-20yrs. See if I can hang onto my final '14 till 2030.

December 24, 2023 - Nose a tad reductive, lemon, grainy, pear, seashell, iodine, leesy. Palate has great acid, seems a bit of oak, lactic finish. Mineral strong. very structure. Were it not for the lactic finish, this would be among my top rated Chablis. The structure is immense, and it still retains incredible acidity.

December 2, 2023 - Needed air to blossom, the Fèvre wines are all closed with quite hermetic DIAM corks, which slows down the in-bottle riping process.
Apple, lemon and iodine, a pure Chablis, straight and long.

April 2, 2023 - Best Chablis I’ve had to date. Bought on release and drank over the years and thought it was always a good clean but modest wine. Found a bottle in a box with odds and ends wines and have this wine found it’s place !
Must be at peak. On open tropical fruits and white flowers jumping out of it. Nose is perfume-like in its intensity.
Passion fruit, pineapple, mandarin oranges, lemon curd, ripe lime and lemon, even floral, white flowers, orange blossoms. Drinking so rich I thought it was a Montrachet. Very long finish drank over an hour and was amazing the entire time. What a wine !!

August 30, 2022 - Pale yellow. Mineral aroma of oyster shell, brine, and lemon curd. Intense, penetrating lemon fruit on the palate, electric acids, mind clearing dynamic drive to the very long finish with a nice winding of citrus rind. Low alcohol, light but sinewed body. Like licking a stone with occasional electric shocks.

June 29, 2022 - Chablis Practice Session for WSET (Elgin): Light yellow, the aromas are all focussed and intense with minerals, earth, oyster shell, firm apple crushed rocks and lemon zest.
The entry continues streamlined with tight, incisive acidity, mineral and green apple. Defined with a linear palate shape, this feels a cooler year. Fairly long in length, the mid-palate shows gentle oatmeal and some spices of oaks, but the wine is quite austere (and not for the faint-hearted), although I do enjoy these styles!
