March 5, 2024 - Undrinkable
January 25, 2024 - I forgot that I wanted to keep the last of my 7 bottles for another 5 years. That was good for this bottle now showed clear signs of decline. No comparison with the awesome wine of previous years.
June 24, 2023 - Smooth; early stage with relatively soft tannin; blueberry; soft finish.
April 16, 2023 - Fully bodied and hedonistic. Still tastes rather young. Will keep my last bottle for at least 5 yrs to see how it will develop.
September 4, 2022 - Needs at least 4 hours. Olives, safe, tan is still big. Great experience if you decant and give it time!!
August 4, 2022 - Great nose, decanted 1 hour , very dark fruit, slight licorice notes, smooth tannins left a nice finish in the mouth and back of the throat
Only had one bottle
July 27, 2022 - Chalky tannins. Barnyard funk on the nose. This one needs an hour or so to open up. Forest floor. Nice older Bordeaux.
May 31, 2022 - Kind of light without a lot of umph. Good enough but nothing notable. Probably started to downswing.
January 24, 2022 - 90-91
Black prunes, cedar, some ash, not much fruit beyond that. Quite savoury
Some chalky tannins, not fully resolved
Some medicinal notes on the palate
January 18, 2022 - Clear, medium ruby with modest bricking at rim.
Upon opening this is somewhat sweet on the nose with jammy blackberry and blueberry, vanilla and milk chocolate. After some time in glass this wine evolves quickly to show its age with stewed fruit, earthy umami and game.
Firm, chalky tannins. Powerful acid. More earthy development on the palate. Slightly medicinal.
Drink now.
