August 16, 2020 - Dark red with purple hints. Lifted blackberry, blackcurrant with a wall of tannin to finish. Superb drinking now but will keep a lot longer.
    Yum.

May 31, 2020 - Steak off 2! (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney): Served blind and from Coravin. A tiny touch of cork taint, ripe red and black currant, plums, leather, sweet spice. Alcohol warmth as well on the nose. In the mouth it's juicy and fleshy, tannins are dry and talc textured, similar fruits, that alcohol note as well...hmm

July 7, 2019 - Beautiful bright colour, very little fading here.
Initially thought this had had it as the overwhelming smells was old dirty dog, but that receded, if never quite disappeared and some blackcurrant fruit came through, nice freshness.
Firm tannins, young and a bit austere like an old school Medoc but it's a wine that reveals itself slowly. Seemed to get better and younger with each sip.
    Would love to try again.

October 27, 2017 - {cork, 13.8%} Looks its age. Smells a bit mushroomy initially; some bottle stink blew off after a while to give a fairly rustic, medium-bodied wine, tasting of a range of mouldering red berries, with not a lot of primary fruit still evident. Cork was immaculate, level good; this was pleasant but not life changing. Gentle tannins, good balance on the palate. Seemed more malbec than cabernet somehow. Ready to drink.
