March 20, 2016 - Holding up nicely! I'm not always a huge fan of sweet red wine, but I enjoyed this.

April 13, 2014 - Like recioto again. Melted licorice, intense and heavy, but deceptively dry. Not up to pairing a sweet dessert, should be enjoyed alone.

November 14, 2013 - Immediately portlike, with prunes, chocolate, and liquor, but also reminiscent of PX with sundried raisins, and very recioto in a way. Baked berries, toothpaste, licorice, with a huge attack. Immense, peculiar, and special.

June 12, 1991 - At home after dinner. Well-developed ruby color; developing a bit of brick at the rim. Thick. Excellent viscosity. Gorgeous. Nose is somewhat shy, though there is sweet, tobacco-scented fruit lurking. Flavor is somewhat "different." Broad and expansive on the palate. Starts out having an attractive flavor I'm SO familiar with, but can't identify--almost like a tawny Port; very "nutty." Finish falls off a bit. Sweet. This wine is at its peak--absolutely. 5-9-14-7: 85/100.
