April 15, 2019 - Opaque purple with a half inch pour. Aromas of black cherry and plum. The sip reveals tannin that is broad and firm. The swallow is fruity and dry. Very good with foods. Superb shape for a 17 year old wine.

March 8, 2010 - 2002 wasn't as good to Cabernet Sauvignon in Sonoma as in Napa. Since the Alexander Valley straddles the two I'm not surprised this is just an OK cab. Still a decent amount of fruit left in this, but the tannin and oak are a bit rough and out of sync.

February 26, 2010 - Had it it with a grilled buffalo steak and asparagus at home. I didn't have high expectations for this wine and was nonetheless still disappointed. Despite the auspicious vintage, there was little on the nose or palate that stood out other than an unappealing tartness and a lack of depth. Fruit and tannins are mostly gone, leaving a sour taste in my mouth. I feel as if I had a bottle of this a few years ago and was similarly unimpressed. If you have a bottle, cook with it.

November 22, 2006 - Lovely wine. Blackberry and Cherry flavors and aromas. A hint of sweet vanilla and pepper spice. Typical young tannic texture with excellent potential.
