April 4, 2024 - Opened and poured on a nor’easter night. Dark, monolithic and dense. Black olive juice on the nose. Brooding, chewy. Dense fruit and not overly sweet. Very solid and muscular.
March 9, 2024 - drinking really well and very nice
February 18, 2024 - My last one. Borders on a fruit bomb. Very new world, concentrated, quite complex, still has a few years.
January 13, 2024 - Good cork and end stained like midnight. Deep aromatic and heady, thick, impressive somehow. Is it the grape or soil? 2 pm open, re-corked,, and trying later.
20 minutes later. Wonderful full-bodied wine, lots on the palate, wonderfully crafted. Signature profile and full bodied and not heavy but substantial just the same. Unique profile that begs the next sip. Legs run fast, next wave medium, and not sure after that. Feel this in my upper chest. Not heartburn but just extract of grape. Ogress3 got nice take, concentrated and needs air. Second day has a hint of cabernet taste. Fruit more apparent. Feels ready now but can go perhaps five years more. Had I another would give three. Car!isle delivers a good wine.
December 7, 2023 - No notes taken. Still young with a need to resolve its tannins and integrate. Lots if fruit left.
November 12, 2023 - Super aromatic on the nose, which kind of steals the show at this point. Red fruits, a hint of resin, some savory. And oddly, I catch a whiff of florals in there somewhere.
On the palate, seems a little tight to me, not quite integrated. For now, I would pair with something with decent fat content to help smooth out the palate.
October 22, 2023 - A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark black ink in color. A full bodied red, with blackberry, blueberry, spiced flavors on long finish, was very good, drink now. www.winelx.com
October 20, 2023 - A rockin' good wine, still has years to go
September 16, 2023 - Seamless perfectly integrated fruit tannins and alcohol . Glad I waited for this bottle to get where it is. Can’t imagine it getting any better.
Still has a couple more years in it but why wait.
July 28, 2023 - Powerful, big wine that doesn’t overwhelm the palate.
Bouquet is appealing with a combination of black fruit with spicy/earthy notes in the background.
Delicious.
