September 30, 2018 - This was aromatic and full of dark savory notes at first and seemed superior to the '89 which was quite reticent at first, but then it lost steam and the '89 overtook it quite easily. This became more one-dimensional and a little weak in the mi-palate. EWG at GCC

Then more dark fruit, ink, old leather with a hint of licorice. The palate shows old wood notes and iron. Balanced with still fruit and acidity. Masculine and droit. Incredibly vibrant with a long finish. Long life ahead. Very Complex.
A great wine.
