    October 21, 2023 - 91+

This was a very pleasant surprise and a treat as it was a birth year wine for my spouse. Decanted and consumed over the next 1.5. Lassis old claret notes of pencil shavings, red currant, a bit of old bookstore on the nose although certainly not overly funky. Not overly complex on the finish but very enjoyable with a bone in rib-eye and creamed spinach. This isn’t going to get any better but I suspect it holds here for at least a couple more years before declining further.

September 24, 2023 - Enjoyed at the Acker 100th HK Auction. Small glass served blind.

Very clean and no sediment thanks to decanting done properly. I was happy with myself - I managed to guess 80s Palmer, though didn't get the exact vintage. Notes as expected: tertiary Bordeaux nose (though I didn't expect it to be as old as 81), going down extremely smoothly and still has a bit of structure. This isn't going to get better, but it was a very nice little glass of fully mature Bordeaux that hasn't started going downhill yet.

November 21, 2022 - Moët Hennessy Portfolio Tasting (10 Cases, London): A very well aged bottle and with a high fill ( In Neck) and very good quality label and capsule. Solid cork.
A wine of 2 sides with the nose being exceptional, earthy, soft herbs, light mint , well evolved fruit. Touch leathery. On the palate though it does not sing the same tune, thin and lacking on the mid palate. Not bad but just not at the same intensity of the nose. 89 palate, 95 Nose so 92 overall from us and drink sooner than later.

October 5, 2022 - Popped and decanted. Medium sediment and nose of wet hay and horse. Aroma developed and became almost a bit sweet after 10 minutes and quickly faded in the next 10 minutes. Most of the fruit is long gone, but the bones of a well constrcuted wine still remain. Fun to drink and still has enough acidity to pair with a nice cheese. I'm glad I was able to taste this wine. Drink up.

October 7, 2021 - Decanted for 1 hour. Surprisingly quite powerful, with dark fruit, and forest. Full body with some strength. Complex palate with some mineral, wood and smoke. Medium finishing. Quite nice and enjoyable.

November 26, 2020 - flat, watery upon opening. Decanted and let sit for 8+ hours. Flavors emerged - smooth, faint raspberry. Past it's prime, but good

July 28, 2020 - Dark garnet with light garnet rim.
Cedar and tobacco with spiced plums.
In the mouth, round flavors (well balanced) with soft tannin. Reminded me a bit of a strawberry smoothie. Weighty with fruit and balanced acid in the finish.

May 25, 2019 - Brick around the edges. After about 45 minutes it really opened up. Ralyy stood the test of time. Still a number of years left.
