February 8, 2024 - PnP. Lemon and citrus. Still showing good acidity. Starting to show some decline.

December 5, 2019 - Excellent as always. Lemony and citrusy with delicate fruit flavors without overpowering the palate. A little on the drier side but not overly so. One of the best expressions of riesling in my book.

March 10, 2019 - On the nose peach, lime drop, honey and a slight rubber note. On the palate off dry, medium plus acidity, and a smooth, silky mouthfeel. Medium to long finish.

After a few hours it seemed less silky, and the lime drop changed more to lime zest and grapefruit.

    Very good Washington Riesling.

March 3, 2019 - Bright, clear medium lemon with a gold hue. The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity, with aromas of white flowers, white peach, lime, cantaloupe, honey, vanilla and just the slightest hint of petrol. The nose is developing, but still relatively youthful at five years. The palate is off-dry, with medium (+) to pronounced acidity to balance out the sugar. The alcohol is medium (-) at 12%, and the mouthfeel is smooth and rich. The crisp juiciness of this wine is outstanding and each mouthful bursts with peach, bitter orange marmalade and lime zest. This is a medium (-) bodied wine despite the velvety mouthfeel, which makes it seem bigger. Medium (+) to intensely flavored, with a pleasant, long finish marked by its cleansing acidity and minerality. It is a wonderfully balanced wine which is drinking very nicely right now but should be quite ageworthy given its structure. Overall, an excellent value at under $18. WS 89 and "drink by 2018," both of which seem low.

June 28, 2018 - Stone fruits, wet rocks, candy and slight petrol on the nose. Sweet on the front palate and acid on the back palate but a shade less acidic than I like. Finish drops off.

April 1, 2018 - Not an April Fools, but not my favorite vintage of Eroica. Still a great wine for a holiday dinner table. More citrus than sweet. Lemongrass, lime, grapefruit. Modest acidity and already a hint of old Riesling petrol.

September 10, 2017 - The best vintage of this wine I have tasted. Stone fruit, floral and some petrol. A touch of sweetness with balanced acidity makes for an outstanding Riesling and this has it. For $11 I paid for this I will be getting another six.
