Community Tasting Notes 4

January 30, 2013 - Whoops...Not flawed or defective ... I cellared this too long...before it was beautiful fruit, textire and balance ...now the fruit nose and taste (aroma and flavours) have diminished and the mouthfeel is not as silky as before...darn!

May 4, 2012 - Excellent. Enjoying with a great blue cheese.

October 14, 2009 - Unusually tarry on the nose with earthy tar notes on the palate, too. Lavender and red currant on the nose. Very nice Cabernet cherry fruit in the mouth. Excellent wine. 88+

March 2, 2007 - Much bigger than the regular bottling, but there is just too much oak here for me to give it a better score. Nose of vanilla, black currant and burnt cherries. Nice finish - over 30 seconds, and a bit tannic on my last glass. If I see the bottle again, I'll buy it and leave it alone for another year or two.
