November 3, 2016 - nancy did not like the smell, slightly funky. Did not bother me. Did not taste old and was interesting. Somewhat tart/acidic. Lingering flavor. I think this will continue to improve. Multifaceted flavors, they continue to change on the palate. Waves of different fruits and spices. Delicious. Not as elegant as the 2006 Pride we also drank but much more complex. 93pts.

October 27, 2016 - Him vs. Her - a blind Winmaker tasting (Landmarc @ the Time Warner Center): Tasted blind, popped and poured. Notes of "funk" on the nose, which took about 20 minutes to blow off. I liked it, and have always liked the Turley PS wines, even older ones, but our 9 person group didn't care for it (except me) and it finished last...Still has a lot of fruit left. It is a bit hot, which will probably never go away.

October 22, 2016 - 4th Saturday Group brown bagger (R&D's): Aromas of dark fruit, incense and vanilla. Dark fruit dominates the palate; long finish. Guessed Syrah.

October 8, 2016 - This wine has come together and is at a great point in its life. This is perhaps the best Turley PS I have had. Definitely worth the wait. Wine is still big, but it has leaned out, added nuances and tannins/acid have mellowed/integrated.

October 2, 2016 - Very interesting bottle of wine. When I popped the cork, the very first bit in the glass was smooth and well harmonized. After about 10 minutes in the glass, it got kind of fizzy tasting for about half an hour and then settled back down again. Ultimately, tannins were well integrated with herbal notes and mid palate fruit.
