July 26, 2014 - Held up really well

July 18, 2014 - This shows softer and more resolved than I expected, although it was decanted for about three hours. Amorphous black/blue fruit with little delineation of individual fruits, and hardly any complexity. The relatively high alcohol is remarkably well-concealed, though. Glad I sold this off years ago. Friday night at Sarah's apartment.

July 5, 2014 - Hasn't budged much since last tasting, still amazing though!

December 3, 2013 - very good wine. complex, articulate old world nose. earth, graphite, dusty. very approachable tannins. well balanced. hints of eucalyptus and blueberry. good finish.

September 19, 2013 - This is probably the greatest Petite Syrah I have tasted. 11 years old and just coming into its own. Dark purple, nose of cassis, licorice, spice. blueberries. Give it a twirl and see what pops out of the glass next. Mouth filling without being cloying at all. Balanced velvet. Finish goes on and on. Wow! Cellared since release.
