September 5, 2023 - Young and with plenty of rich, pure, concentrated fruit defying what one may think of 2014. Texturally complex. Lovely spice and floral complexity is emerging. A high quality Amoureuses. Lots of upside from here.
September 5, 2023 - Tuesday (Chicago, IL): Still very young, but unmistakably Chambolle in character with its delicate red fruit profile. A touch crunchy, with a light, elegant profile. The tannins are quite dense and it's clear that this will benefit from more time as they soften, but this really hits a Burgundy sweet spot for me. That said, I have always found Jadot's iteration a better value...
December 5, 2022 - Nose: red fruits, dried leaves, rice cake
Notes: such a surprise for a red from Joseph Drouhin, very sweet palate and to my surprise this 2014 is pretty ready for consumption and is showing extremely well. Rather delicious drink right now with a lot of potential in the future. I think this should be a great wine in the future. Another 8-10 years of cellaring would make this a fascinating wine. I think the 2014s were particularly good as I've never had much luck with his reds and they are often quite disappointing even from the top crus.

October 20, 2022 - bright red color with rim starting to show signs of age, at opening venison, cherry and violets on the nose, on the palate velvety and punchy fruit with a slight tartness, 4 hours after decanting- nose showing a toasty note, on the palate punchy and floral with a bit of hardness at the tail end, light venison note, lacey and ethereal, a bit of blueberry, attractive as it is- this also feels very light and shut down at present, more reserved than I would have expected at this point given the wine and vintage, that said this should open nicely in the near term.

May 14, 2022 - Betydelig mer tight nå enn for 1-2 år siden.
Har vakker og lyserød frukt, og lekre florale innslag. Essensen av Chambolle.
Veldig konsentrert i munn. Men er litt vel stram også her.
Vi konkluderte vel med at den var i en litt lukket fase. Lot være å score.
April 3, 2022 - Have had 6 bottles of the 2014 Amoureuses in the last 2 years and not a single disappointment. Gorgeously poised array of sweet dark berries, exotic spices and floral bouquet. Velvety and beautifully persistent. 100% own vineyard from 0.59ha plot. Aromatic with an excellent length, if slightly warm finish that resembles 2016. Great backbone and laciness. (92/100)
March 23, 2022 - A beautiful bottle and much better than a bottle I had a few years back. This bottle had surprising fruit density for the vintage, lovely floral aromatics popping out of the glass, a very juicy yet precise and mineral wine. Should be fantastic in 10 years but drinking suprisingly well today. 94+
November 8, 2020 - The 2014 Joseph Drouhin Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is fantastically perfumed and concentrated. Gorgeous bouquet of cherry cola, dark currant, mixed flowers, with a refined tannic spine. In-depth with lovely concentration and refreshing acidity. Good structure with a sappy core. Drinkable now yet it has got potential for further development. (92/100)
March 26, 2020 - Joseph Drouhin owns 0.59ha in Les Amoursuese across three plots at different corners of the vineyard, they are the second largest producer after Robert Groffier. Tasted blind but quickly guessed it was my bottle of Les Amoursuses - Fragrant and delicate yet firm and intense, a textbook Amoureuses. Fresh array of mixed berries, low pitched wood and Chambolle earthy cherries. Joseph Drouhin Les Amoureuses 2014? (90/100)
March 6, 2020 - Served blind. I was quite off here and though this to be Morey and possibly Clos Tart. It seemed quite bold and smokey. Quite masculine. Little surprised when revealed. Nice wine still but would hold off on these for 5 years +
