December 4, 2022 - Right out of the bottle there’s aromas of minerals and fresh flowers. Palate is very mineraly, grass, with a very sharp bite. For $46, this was an incredible white.

October 28, 2017 - Surprisingly young at 12 years old. Great fruit, balance and mineral notes. Could go a couple more years too.

November 30, 2015 - Sadly, this wine was WAY past its prime. Picked it up at closeout for decent price. It drank like a cheap Sautern, very oxidized and golden in color. Sad to say we had to dump it.

June 23, 2011 - Light yellow color. Nose of flowers, citrus. Similar palate with an amazing finish of lime rinds. Nice, oily mouthfeel. Lower acidity. Unusual and enjoyable.

(Arietta On the White Keys, Sonoma) Fritz Hatton, head auctioneer for Zachys, founded Arietta with winemaker John Kongsgaard in 1996, based on their mutual admiration for fine wine and classical music. After Kongsgaard produced a string of highly soughtafter bottlings, the talented Andy Erickson took over the winemaking in 2006. He created this beauty from some tiny parcels of mountainside Sauvignon Blanc and old-vine Sémillon. The wine spends eight months in a combination of stainless steel and French oak, and the result is an outstanding Bordeaux Blanc-style blend with great depth and complexity, boasting fig, honeysuckle, and melon aromas and mouthwatering citrus flavors.
