January 15, 2018 - Dark cherry, vanilla, a little bit of cedar wood. Lots of zingy acid. This was on days 2-3. Day 1 I got more strawberry, red cherry and even more acid. Pretty good overall, but not worth the $20 price to me. Too much acidity and not much complexity. It was good with pizza, but so are many others at just over half the cost.

November 19, 2017 - Dark cherries with earthiness and pepper. Opens nicely with fettuccine Alfredo. Nice drinking bottle.

November 14, 2017 - Black cherry aromas. Started out pretty earthy to the aromas. Silage, grass. But that blew off for a more fruity disposition. Substantial style.

February 15, 2017 - Dark red fruit than the Asti 2014 Tre Vigne. What's up with all of the low scores from previous tasters?? Cherry and light vanilla aromas. Now this is coming off a bit more elegant on the palate than the '14 Asti. Perhaps more in line with the Scarrone normally associated with being the more elegant/feminine expression of Vietti Barbera. seemed rounder and softer at pnp, simplifying as the wine gets air, but still a classy drink, with purity of fruit next to the more rustic palate of the Asti.

February 12, 2017 - A lot of young barberas come with a rich flavor and a slight bite to them. That's usually what makes them stand out and me to buy them. This wine delivered a pretty complex body without the usual barbera bite. Actually made a great pairing with some peppercorn&parmesan flavored steak. You don't need your typical food pairing here as it's range seems so much larger. A nice find. Will purchase again.

December 22, 2016 - I agree with the review by RAD below. This is a good reliable Barbera, year after year. This vintage is good but not outstanding. But I would still buy it over an unknown producer any time.

November 23, 2016 - Deep ruby red in color. Bouquet filled with notes of fresh fruit and oak. Smooth tannins compliment spices and a lingering finish.
Decant and leave about 35-45 minutes to open up.
