October 22, 2023 - Perfect pairing with wild chanterelle risotto. The color showed some age, but the fruit was still vibrant and rich. Last bottle of six, all were well-enjoyed!

August 25, 2020 - Further to my Note of May 5 '20: Good pairing with simple grilled white fish--round, white stone fruits, some honey. Continues to please. While mature, still delicious.

May 5, 2020 - Further to my Note of March 6 '19: Medium gold; white stone fruits, hint of honey that follow on the palate, good mouthfeel. Consistent with my label notes from bottle #1. Color concerned me, but this was delicious: resist judging flavor by color. Glad I have more, should drink soon. Certainly notable+.

March 6, 2019 - Bought 4b from WTSO for 13/b 2+ years ago; first bottle from that purchase. Medium gold; fragrant white tree fruit with some oak; mature fruit and very good mouthfeel--not crisp, somewhat viscous. Paired well with ham/bell peppers quiche--almost delicious. The color was concerning, but the wine was fine, though it won't benefit from further aging. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase; but I'll change that. Synthetic closure (surprise) means I'll turn the bottles vertical. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

December 24, 2018 - Best bottle yet, and my last of this vintage. Rich fruit, crisp minerality, everything in balance, glycerin mouth feel, long finish. So good!

October 12, 2018 - This is still a solid 90 point wine. That being said, I wouldn't wait much longer to drink it. Nice richness, medium body. My only complain is that I would like a touch more acidity. Perhaps the richness comes from ML rather than oak? A nicely balanced wine overall. Wish I had more.

April 16, 2018 - Classic chardonnay aromas of apple and pear, some honey. Not much in way of complexity though and has an strong sweetness on the finish that I found a bit disagreeable. Don't think age is going to improve this wine, drink up

March 24, 2018 - Very Deep gold color
Bouquet of Meyer lemon with hint of orange rind, dill, straw, and a hint of eucalyptus,
Full on the tongue. Initial sweetness is tempered yet not stamped out with bitterness on the tail end. The sweetness lingers without being saccharine.
I did not like this wine upon purchase. Yet, with aging,it has developed into delightful maturity. A delightful drink at this price point!
