January 2, 2019 - Bought 3b for 10/b from eVinyard 17 years ago. Decanted with normal sediment for its age. Rich, dark color (no amber); restrained black fruit nose; deep blackcurrant with very good mouthfeel. This was elegant and delicious! Not big flavors but a fine Merlot reminiscent of what WA Merlot can be. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this outstanding- when considering quality, age, and price.

October 19, 2016 - Unbelievable bottle of wine after all this time! Lush berry flavors, nicely balanced tannins; wonderful, lasting taste on our palate; both of us gave it scores of 92 & 93; beautiful complement to our steak dinner

January 1, 2012 - Last bottle. Anise with some dark fruit on nose. Wine has lost complexity but is very drinkable. Weak finish with chocolate notes. Not unpleasant.

January 1, 2010 - Dark ruby colour. Very expressive nose of red fruits mixed with spice and a touch of vanilla. Very smooth mouth feel. Medium to full bodied. Tannins fade to reveal a round plush drink that appears to be at peak drinking and should stay that way for another 5 years. This wine is rich with a thick plummy taste. Pomerol fans will especially appreciate this wine. This is not the soft and syruppy CA style that gave Merlot a bad reputation. Drank with Prime Rib and made a delicious combination.
