November 15, 2023 - Still deep purple, beautiful nose. Drinking well. Soft tannins, balanced fruit. Has quite a few years to go.

November 3, 2023 - Served at Confrerie event. Most controversial wine of the event. Friend noted scents of smoked bonito. Sous bois, tobacco, complex, better with air. 90-91 for me, many others said Yuch. Needs food and patience when drinking.

May 6, 2023 - Very firm tannins for wine now 24 years old. Disappointing in that aspect, and very different than the first two bottles. Notes of earth floor and dark berry. The tannins disappointingly overwhelm the notes.

    April 22, 2023 - PNP Avra.
Concentrated dark berries and some cranberries with resolved tannins and good finish
Black cherry developed as the wine evolved over lunch.
A full bodied big glass of Pinot

April 9, 2023 - A little wild and funky on opening, but this settles down quickly to reveal a complex nose of red currants, cherry and pomegranate with a strong savoury component of blood and bone, iron, earthiness and gamey meatiness. Good acidity on the palate, grippy tannins and fairly silky. Medium weight. Finished off the last glass a day later and it was more settled and integrated than day one. Such a lovely Pommard and one I suspect has a good couple of decades left in the tank.
