October 1, 2021 - Solid wine for the price; simple.

Agree with the tasting notes below so nothing new to add.

February 16, 2021 - Sort of nutty, oily, and Chardonnay-like qualities on the nose. Off dry, but good acidity which mostly brings the sweetness in check.

February 21, 2019 - On the nose apple, lime, petrol and floral notes. On the palate its off dry, high in acidity and offers a steely minerality and a hint of salinity that balances its sweetness perfectly. Mid to long finish.

November 8, 2018 - Green Apple, loads of minerality/saline, lime pith, a bit of a steely quality. Feinherb to kabinett sweetness, balanced by medium-high acidity. Green fruit and lean character. Medium finish of juicy lime, green apple, and minerality. Good.

C(omplexity)=1: Straightforward with hint of peach, lychee.
D(epth) =1: Average length and finish.

More processed than distinctive, yet decent value.

June 12, 2017 - Nose is subdued, terroir driven with mineral, gun powder, leesy scents and hints of Lime pith. There is a salty saline quality to the palate also mineral driven with green tart fruit profile. Herbs, high acid, not enough fruit to balance. leaning Feinherb rather dry compared to prior vintages. Bitter metallic grapefruit pith finish. Some vintages (2011) Josef Lietz makes the Dragon a delicious value and 15 year wine, 2015 isn’t one of those vintages. Rather disappointing. Purchased from retail shop and enjoyed 45-55. Drink now I don’t see this aging well even 5 years.

December 9, 2016 - Very good for its level. Quite sweet, but fresh. Very clean and bright. Some depth but not much complexity. Amazing combo with Brebirousse d'Argental (french cheese)
