April 27, 2023 - 2013 Napa valley Cabernets continue to impress! Saturated purplecolor, this has a wonderful nose of rich black currant, mint, creosote, vanilla and super ripe blackberry. Full-bodied, this is rich and enveloping on the palate with loads of fruit and copious milk chocolate! This is rich and concentrated while being easy to drink. The tannins are a joy, present and really have a tug to them, but they glide across the palate like velvet. Just fantastic stuff and in a great place now, this should have a few years of life left. Wish I had more!! Drink now-2028 93

Edit: Great right out of the gate, this is declining after 2.5 hours in decanter.

February 20, 2023 - Typical dark fruit on the tip of the tongue--blackberry, currant. Then you realize that this is a pretty rustic wine. There is still a lot of unresolved tannin. This creates rear palate sensations suggesting tar or unsweetened chocolate. Also, I get the slightest suggestions of mint and of citrus--specifically, orange. Definitely not an "elegant" wine, but I did enjoy its full-bodied robustness.

January 30, 2023 - Very good! Drink now, not suitable for further ages. It's drinking at it's peak. Lots of great tertiaries on the nose - barnyard funk, smoke! Beautiful stewed black fruit on the palate and a nice long finish. Acid is mellowing and could bring more punch. So, drink up if you have it in your cellar.

December 25, 2022 - And several years later, my score hasn't changed. Perhaps a year or two left. Great wine
