January 5, 2015 - This is the second delicious aged California Chardonnay I have had in the past month (which might be more than I have had in the past two years). Golden color but no brown. Some honey and melon flavors but still bright, balanced and full of life. Lingers well on the palate. (94)

November 4, 2013 - Medium amber color. Heady, rich nose: cooked barley, red apple, pear, creme caramel, shaved cocoanut. On entry, very oily and fat texture; waxy, round with a hint of sweetness. Flavors of of apple butter, celery, breakfast cereals. Heady, somewhat oxidized stuff, obviously alive but overwrought to my taste. Preferred this far more before its tenth year. Our back-up bottle to the ME '96. Bottle #2 of two.

March 26, 2012 - Various Vintage California Wine Dinner - Corkbuzz in NYC (Corkbuzz - NYC): Outstanding aged chardonnay. Beautiful color of rich golden straw. beautiful and deeper and denser standard chardonnay elements: toasted butter popcorn, honeysuckle, white rose petals. excellent palate weight and balance. really outstanding long finish. paired w/ sautéed portobello mushrooms and aged balsamic and ramps

March 1, 2012 - Long lunch with AL, KH, Gary and Eric (The Pawn): deep dark yellow. initially thought it was an old roussanne. got better after some air but has seen better days.
