Community Tasting Notes 2

November 18, 2012 - 1990s Rhones at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): I was really fond of this. Had great dark fruits, layers of cured meats, and some floral notes. Very rustic and drinking in a great spot - this was a real treat.

November 17, 2012 - Some Blind Bubblies (Tooch's, chicago IL): Nose: Very flowing and classic nose filled with tones of mineral rich earth, black pepper, black fruits, dark red fruits, and a good amount of bacon fat.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium acidity and some very good tannins still. This is well balanced with good depth and silky tones of black pepper, black fruits, bacon fat, and some dark red fruits.

Overall: This is a really damn good St. Joseph. There is good depth on both the nose and palate with a polished sense to it as well. While this is showing well, it can still go a long way.
