August 15, 2009 - California Wines (Ross's Condo, New Orleans): This bottle was put in the tasting to act as a contrast to the unoaked Napa chard presented at the same event. This chardonnay is the typical older school Napa Valley chardonnay, with toasty, spicy, and vanilla laden oak notes on the nose which predicted the round, in your face, oaky palate which did carry with it a wonderful (though upstaged) bit of green apple and citrus. The finish was off balance, oaky, and a tad hot. I see why Caliphiles would love this wine, but it's just not me.

August 2, 2009 - Full, darkening golden color. Subtle lemon-lime, citrus, and vanilla scents pick up honey, lemon oil, fresh herbs, and butter on the palate. Big in body and mouth feel, gaining richness on the finish.

May 24, 2007 - Beautiful golden color with an initial nose of melon and possible graham cracker. There is a slight tartness in the mouth accompanies the hint of oak. A nice wine. I scored this one slightly lower than my previous bottle.

November 1, 2006 - Big mouthfeel, little oily, good fruit, touch of oak but very well integrated. We finished the whole bottle in one sitting, which is a good thing...4.0
