November 4, 2023 - Very smooth like most of my 14's. Ripe fruit that goes medium-long on the finish. Medium-full bodied. A really good effort at a reasonable price for Oakville Cabernet. Black cherry and blackberry fruit is prevalent.
February 26, 2021 - I do not like the bottle I got. It seems very slightly corked, but even the flavor beyond that seems too crude and highly alcoholic. I admit my experience is affected by the slight corked taste, so cannot be taken as a fair test, but I will not buy it again. The corked taste was so slight that I drank a glass slowly, with significant air, hoping it would blow off, but it did not. I am more sensitive than average to corkedness it seems, as some other drinkers here tonight are ok with it. Of course there is no other choice tonight.
December 1, 2020 - full-bodied and rich, cherry and blackberry notes, subtle presence of oak, moderate tannins, consistent profile across an extended finish.
November 6, 2020 - Seems to be improving since last bottle in 2019. A bit fuller and richer profile. Still something a little unrefined about it, but still tasty
August 5, 2020 - 6 liter for party. It was alright, decent. For the price a good solid cab, but not blowing the socks off of anyone.
November 30, 2019 - Decanted for 1 hour. Lots of dark fruit with some mocha and a little tobacco. Initially, very strong tannins that mellowed over the next hour, Could use a little more age,
October 16, 2019 - Delicious, full-bodied Cab. I had with a rib eye and I could have eaten and drunk forever. Good finish and a good sipper.
September 14, 2019 - Improvement over last bottle two yrs ago. While still medium body it’s filling out with a rich red fruit profile. Little heat on the backend I didn’t notice last time. Solid weeknight drinker.
December 22, 2018 - Gave this about 45 mins of air. Classic valley-floor cabernet, bordering on jammy but with lively acidity and an herbaceous note that keeps it interesting. Oak notes are there but well integrated. Crowd pleaser. Not sure it will get better but no rush. 92+
November 12, 2018 - Consistent with March 2018 note but after a day open this smoothed out with a creamy texture. Bodes well for future consumption.
