May 27, 2014 - Latricières-Chambertin Dinner (Paris Club - Chicago IL): Open 1+ hour before serving single blind in Leroy 1995-2001 Latricieres flight. All black fruit here, showing signs of maturity around the edges. Firm and well structured with very good intensity, power and length. Very ageworthy. I correctly identified the vintage of each bottle in this great flight.

February 12, 2010 - Burgundy for Lunch (Scottsdale, AZ): This was a polarizing wine, in my opinion not because of what it was rather because of what it followed. In any case, obviously a lot more body and intensity here than the previous reds. A lot of gamey/sauvage notes and some spices we haven't tasted much tonight such as cinnamon and sage. The wine is quite tannic and would do well with time, but I quite enjoyed it. I would not have put it in this lineup, but it's a good wine.
