April 29, 2023 - Excellent. Drank after 2004 Vecina. Better after short decant. Slightly more floral.

November 2, 2022 - Bond dinner at Hua Ting: What a contrast to the Melbury alongside. More classic with restrained, dark red fruit. Earthy, rustic notes with higher acid, slightly dusty tannins. Nose also got more old-school Bordeaux-like and perfumed with air. Second favourite of the night for me.

December 6, 2021 - Epic Napa Trip - Day 2: Tasted at Bond Winery - We were fortunate to be able to try all their single vineyard cabernets side by side...what a treat! These wines took a little time to open up, but like most 2014 wines, these were very approachable even at this young age. Personally, I would hold all these wines a few years to further develop some additional nuances.

TN - The most structured and densest of the wines tasted. Lots of black and red fruit, dusty cocoa and lots of bramble, earth and spice, with some sweet tobacco and toasted oak notes. My favorite of all the Bond wines tasted....not too surprised to learn later that these come from VHR fruit. 96+ with no problems.

December 6, 2021 - Napa trip day 2 (Napa): Drank a good-sized glass over 1.5 hours at the winery. Red fruit, bramble, wild herbs, tannins are high.

May 10, 2020 - Just truly oustanding despite being a young wine. This is a full body and elegant wine with blackberries and cocoa aroma. This is smooth and a pleasure to drink.

May 2, 2020 - First of the 2014s. Very complex; well structured. This wine can be enjoyed now...but has many more years to go.
