January 31, 2017 - at first the nose was closed but it came open with extra air and showed a tertiary bouquet with dark fruits, exotic tobacco and some fine burned touches, in the mouth a nice acidity that gives a lovely interaction with some fine bitter notes, slightly stewed fruits, tobacco, well balanced and in a perfect drinking spot

January 27, 2017 - Having found a few more bottles, decided to indulge again ...
Wow - this wine really doesn't show its age - still a spring chicken !
+ Nose - stewed fruit, stewed chicory, prune, burnt, elegant, gravy
+ Taste - spot on, plenty of fruit, fresh, full, refined and elegant
+ Finish - explosion, full, an abundance of fruit, elegance
A wine with at least another 10 years to go - I easily score it 95/100.

October 14, 2016 - In a wonderful spot right now! Compared to previous notes this is shining, gorgeous bacon nose, deep blue fruits. Long and spicy taste, with an amazing backbone of vigorous acidity. This is the best Pomerol we have had. Incredible how cellaring drives the ratings!

September 10, 2016 - A little tca did not completely ruin this beautifully aged bordeaux.

January 23, 2016 - At ease with its spicy green pepper, burning diesel, and soft warm iron; some wet dog; present with a drop and bump; bitter at the bottom and wispy on top.
