December 23, 2020 - Nice sangiovese fruit. A bit warm. Tannins not very prominent.

May 16, 2020 - The wine was tired, musky. Dark and slightly bitter but still drinkable. Slightly corked/oxidised ?

December 9, 2019 - Intense, perfumes, very juicy. Fruit is both crunchy and ripe. Bloody. Maraschino, red cherry, cloves, leather, sweet toasted notes. Smooth with nice acidity. A joyous wine.

December 1, 2019 - Quite like this one, solid everyday rosso, balanced. Went through it quickly. Prefer to the 2016.

May 16, 2018 - Given a little air, doing better than the fist bottle I tried. This is a very good Sangiovese, along the lines of a good Chianti Classico. Complex bouquet and good rich palate, though easy to drink and not "demanding" as such, tempered with the acidity of the variety. Excellent. 91+

Being previously unfamiliar with the appellation, I will now look out for more Rosso di Montalcino if this is what one can expect.

February 11, 2018 - Nicely done Italian red. Fruity with Sangiovese zest. A bit "house winey". Nothing special, though pleasant. 88+
